About Us

The Josuha Guilavogui Foundation is a foundation to fund the orphanage of Josuha Guilavogui, created in Conakry in 2019. Currently Josuha and his team are providing a home for 21 kids, offering a save and loving home and a true foundation for a better future. 

The official creation of the Josuha Guilavogui Foundation in 2021 has been an important milestone in order to secure the future of the orphanage in the long run.

BACKGROUND & ADMINISTRATION

Josuha Guilavogui Foundation is a dependent foundation under the roof of Deutsche StiftungsTrust, a subsidiary of Deutsche Bank AG. Together with about 400 other foundations, Guilavogui foundation is professionally and competently supervised by Deutsche StiftungsTrust. Besides administrational tasks the Deutsche StiftungsTrust a.o. secures the endowment capital and makes sure that the foundation is not following any commercial purposes at any time.

Next to Deutsche StiftungsTrust Josuha Guilavogui Foundation receives support by International Giving Foundation and the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ). This cooperation has been initiated in 2021 and marked an important corner stone for our International foundation work. GIZ is accompanying the project on site and is providing practical help and support to the team in Conakry, while the International Giving Foundation is supervising and securing that donations made to Josuha Guilavogui Foundation are being used purposeful. The support of these two institutions shows the professional approach behind Josuha’s project. Donators and supporters of the foundation can be sure that their financial contribution is used for the intended purpose only. 

ABOUT JOSUHA GUILAVOGUI

Josuha Guilavogui is a professional football player, currently playing for VfL Wolfsburg (German Bundesliga). Since many years Josuha and his family have been supporting orphans in Guinea, the home of their ancestors. Creating an oprhanage does not only mean financial contribution to him. His intention above all is to really be there for the children, get to know them, be their friend and supporter and to offer them a safe and above all loving home. Whenever his schedule allows for he’s travelling to Conakry to make sure everything is ok and going well. And of course to spend time with “his” kids. The orphanage and Josuha Guilavogui Foundation are projects very close to Josuha’s big heart.
