Set up in 2019 in Conakry, Guinea, the Josuha Guilavogui Foundation's mission is to support an orphanage that is currently home to 23 children. Josuha Guilavogui and her team ensure that these orphans grow up in a safe and loving environment, giving them the foundations they need to look forward to a serene future. In 2021, the foundation officially came into being, marking a key step in ensuring the continuity and development of this long-term commitment.
The Josuha Guilavogui Foundation operates under the aegis of Deutsche StiftungsTrust, a subsidiary of Deutsche Bank AG, which administers around 400 foundations. Thanks to its expertise, Deutsche StiftungsTrust guarantees the security of the funds, oversees their proper management and ensures that the foundation does not carry out any commercial activities.
In addition, two major partners are supporting the foundation: the International Giving Foundation and the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ). Since 2021, GIZ has been accompanying the project in Conakry, providing operational support to the local teams, while the International Giving Foundation supervises the use of donations to ensure that they meet the objectives set. These partnerships ensure that benefactors can be sure that their generosity will directly benefit the children at the orphanage.
Josuha Guilavogui is a professional footballer who has played for prestigious clubs such as AS Saint-Étienne (France), Atlético Madrid (Spain), VfL Wolfsburg and 1. FSV Mainz 05 (Germany). Originally from Guinea, he has always been deeply attached to his homeland. This orphanage project goes far beyond mere financial support. Josuha is actively involved in giving these children a real home filled with love and security.
Whenever his schedule permits, he travels to Conakry to ensure that the funds are being properly managed, to check that the orphanage is running smoothly, and above all to spend time with the children he affectionately calls "his protégés". This commitment is a real priority for Josuha, who does everything possible to improve their daily lives and their future.
